The GLX PBuffer code does not call the XACE hook when creating the buffer, leaving it unlabeled. When the client issues another request to access that resource (as with a GetGeometry) or when it creates another resource that needs to access that buffer, such as a GC, the XSELINUX code will try to use an object that was never labeled and crash because the SID is NULL.\n\n## Affected\n\n- `xorg-server >= 21.1.0 < 21.1.11`\n- `xorg-x11-server (all versions)`\n- `xorg-x11-server (all versions)`\n- `xorg-x11-server-Xwayland (all versions)`\n- `xorg-x11-server (all versions)`\n- `xorg-x11-server-Xwayland (all versions)`\n- `tigervnc`\n- `xorg-x11-server`\n- `tigervnc`\n- `tigervnc`\n- `tigervnc`\n\n## Remediation\n\nRefer to the linked advisories for vendor-supplied fixes and affected version ranges.\n\n### Workarounds\n\nMitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options don't meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base or stability.","depth":"sunlit","depthScore":30,"depthScoreParts":{"impact":30.3,"likelihood":0.1,"exploitation":0,"ransomware":0},"changes":[]}
