Updating the IRTE if and only if the new GSI is an\nMSI results in KVM leaving an IRTE posting to a vCPU.\n\nThe dangling IRTE can result in interrupts being incorrectly delivered to\nthe guest, and in the worst case scenario can result in use-after-free,\ne.g. if the VM is torn down, but the underlying host IRQ isn't freed.\n\n## Affected\n\n- `linux_kernel >= 4.4, < 5.10.237`\n- `linux_kernel >= 5.11, < 5.15.181`\n- `linux_kernel >= 5.16, < 6.1.136`\n- `linux_kernel >= 6.2, < 6.6.89`\n- `linux_kernel >= 6.7, < 6.12.26`\n- `linux_kernel >= 6.13, < 6.14.5`\n- `linux_kernel = 6.15`\n- `debian_linux = 11.0`\n\n## Remediation\n\nUpgrade past the affected range:\n\n- `linux_kernel 6.14.5`","depth":"twilight","depthScore":48,"depthScoreParts":{"impact":48.4,"likelihood":0.1,"exploitation":0,"ransomware":0},"changes":[]}
