Special characters used during e-mail registration may perform SMTP Injection and unexpectedly send short unwanted e-mails. The email is limited to 64 characters (limited local part of the email), so the attack is limited to very shorts emails (subject and little data, the example is 60 chars). This flaw's only direct consequence is an unsolicited email being sent from the Keycloak server. However, this action could be a precursor for more sophisticated attacks.\n\n## Affected\n\n- `keycloak`\n\n## Remediation\n\nRefer to the linked advisories for vendor-supplied fixes and affected version ranges.\n\n## Vendor advisories\n\n- **RHSA-2025:15337** · Red Hat · fixed in: Red Hat build of Keycloak 26.0 · released 2025-09-04 · [advisory](https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2025:15337)\n- **RHSA-2025:15338** · Red Hat · fixed in: Red Hat build of Keycloak 26.2 · released 2025-09-04 · [advisory](https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2025:15338)\n- **RHSA-2025:15336** · Red Hat · fixed in: Red Hat build of Keycloak 26.0 · released 2025-09-04 · [advisory](https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2025:15336)\n- **RHSA-2025:15339** · Red Hat · fixed in: Red Hat build of Keycloak 26.2 · released 2025-09-04 · [advisory](https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2025:15339)\n- **Red Hat VEX** · Moderate · affected: Red Hat Build of Keycloak · no fix planned: Red Hat Build of Keycloak · updated 2026-10-16 · [vex](https://security.access.redhat.com/data/csaf/v2/vex/2025/cve-2025-8419.json)","depth":"sunlit","depthScore":29,"depthScoreParts":{"impact":29.2,"likelihood":0.1,"exploitation":0,"ransomware":0},"changes":[]}
