Any\nprobe failure after the admin tag set has been allocated unwinds through\nthe out_disable label and nvme_pci_free_ctrl(), neither of which releases\nthe pools, leaking the dma_pool objects.\n\nRelease the descriptor pools in the out_disable error path. It must not\nbe added to nvme_pci_free_ctrl(), as that would double-free against\nnvme_remove() on the normal teardown path.\n\n## Remediation\n\nRefer to the linked advisories for vendor-supplied fixes and affected version ranges.\n\n## Vendor advisories\n\n- **Red Hat VEX** · Low · affected: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 · no fix planned: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 · updated 2026-10-05 · [vex](https://security.access.redhat.com/data/csaf/v2/vex/2026/cve-2026-90233.json)","depth":"sunlit","depthScore":30,"depthScoreParts":{"impact":30.3,"likelihood":0,"exploitation":0,"ransomware":0},"changes":[{"seq":216330,"id":"CVE-2026-90233","ts":1791274074465,"field":"cvss","old":null,"new":"5.5"},{"seq":216329,"id":"CVE-2026-90233","ts":1791274074465,"field":"severity","old":"none","new":"medium"}]}
