Additionally, the num_vdevs field is taken directly from firmware\nand used as a loop bound over the vdev_ids array without checking that it\nfits within the TLV payload. Either condition can cause an out-of-bounds\nread.\n\nAdd a TLV policy entry for WMI_TAG_PDEV_CSA_SWITCH_COUNT_STATUS_EVENT so\nthe parse infrastructure enforces a minimum length for the fixed-size event\nstruct. Add a helper ath12k_wmi_tlv_data_len() to recover the payload\nlength of a parsed TLV from the header preceding its data pointer. Use it\nin ath12k_wmi_process_csa_switch_count_event() to bound num_vdevs before\nthe loop.\n\nCompile tested only.\n\n## Remediation\n\nRefer to the linked advisories for vendor-supplied fixes and affected version ranges.\n\n## Vendor advisories\n\n- **Red Hat VEX** · Moderate · affected: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 · no fix planned: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 · updated 2026-10-20 · [vex](https://security.access.redhat.com/data/csaf/v2/vex/2026/cve-2026-90408.json)","depth":"twilight","depthScore":42,"depthScoreParts":{"impact":42.4,"likelihood":0,"exploitation":0,"ransomware":0},"changes":[{"seq":207309,"id":"CVE-2026-90408","ts":1789757340673,"field":"cvss","old":null,"new":"7.7"},{"seq":207308,"id":"CVE-2026-90408","ts":1789757340673,"field":"severity","old":"none","new":"high"}]}
