However, the implementation simply breaks\nfrom a switch statement and leaks uninitialized return code `rc' (if the\nfirst section is a security one) or the previous section's `rc'.\n\nFix it by really skipping a loop with `continue'. For consistency and\nreadability, also do the same for the default case.\n\n## Remediation\n\nRefer to the linked advisories for vendor-supplied fixes and affected version ranges.\n\n## Vendor advisories\n\n- **Red Hat VEX** · Low · affected: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 · no fix planned: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 · updated 2026-10-17 · [vex](https://security.access.redhat.com/data/csaf/v2/vex/2026/cve-2026-97907.json)","depth":"sunlit","depthScore":30,"depthScoreParts":{"impact":30.3,"likelihood":0,"exploitation":0,"ransomware":0},"changes":[{"seq":213518,"id":"CVE-2026-97907","ts":1790754756268,"field":"cvss","old":null,"new":"5.5"},{"seq":213517,"id":"CVE-2026-97907","ts":1790754756268,"field":"severity","old":"none","new":"medium"}]}
