Keep asynchronous flush\nchaining for REQ_FUA. At that point, data copy has completed and the parent\nbio can wait for the chained flush bio.\n\n## Affected\n\n- `linux_kernel >= 5.3, < 6.18.52`\n- `linux_kernel >= 6.19, < 7.2.6`\n\n## Remediation\n\nUpgrade past the affected range:\n\n- `linux_kernel 7.2.6`\n\n## Vendor advisories\n\n- **Red Hat VEX** · Moderate · affected: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 · no fix planned: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 · updated 2026-10-17 · [vex](https://security.access.redhat.com/data/csaf/v2/vex/2026/cve-2026-98161.json)","depth":"sunlit","depthScore":30,"depthScoreParts":{"impact":30.3,"likelihood":0,"exploitation":0,"ransomware":0},"changes":[{"seq":212535,"id":"CVE-2026-98161","ts":1790668208132,"field":"cvss","old":null,"new":"5.5"},{"seq":212534,"id":"CVE-2026-98161","ts":1790668208132,"field":"severity","old":"none","new":"medium"}]}
