However, this can lead to calling the\nevent tracing code with `clt_path->kobj->name` being `NULL` and thus\ncausing a null pointer dereference when trying to copy from it.\n\nThis just adds a guard to check that the name is not `NULL` before\ncopying from it. The server appears to have a similar pattern.\n\n## Remediation\n\nRefer to the linked advisories for vendor-supplied fixes and affected version ranges.\n\n## Vendor advisories\n\n- **Red Hat VEX** · Moderate · updated 2026-10-07 · [vex](https://security.access.redhat.com/data/csaf/v2/vex/2026/cve-2026-98355.json)","depth":"sunlit","depthScore":30,"depthScoreParts":{"impact":30.3,"likelihood":0,"exploitation":0,"ransomware":0},"changes":[{"seq":217087,"id":"CVE-2026-98355","ts":1791360664605,"field":"cvss","old":null,"new":"5.5"},{"seq":217086,"id":"CVE-2026-98355","ts":1791360664605,"field":"severity","old":"none","new":"medium"}]}
