A flaw was found in the Bluetooth RFCOMM (Radio Frequency Communication) subsystem of the Linux kernel. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted Bluetooth Disconnect (DISC) message to a device with a deferred RFCOMM channel. This can lead to a null pointer dereference when the system attempts to process the message, resulting in a kernel crash and a denial of service.
kernel: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: take rfcomm_mutex for the deferred setup accept — rated Moderate by Red Hat. Released 2026-09-04, updated 2026-10-25.
