A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) multipath subsystem. A malicious NVMe device can provide crafted Asymmetric Namespace Access (ANA) log data that triggers an integer underflow during buffer bounds validation. This failure leads to an out-of-bounds memory read, potentially resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) through a kernel crash or the disclosure of sensitive memory.
kernel: nvme-multipath: fix underflow in ANA log bounds checks — rated Moderate by Red Hat. Released 2026-10-18, updated 2026-10-23.
