A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's mac80211 wireless subsystem. This flaw can lead to information disclosure across network boundaries when transmitting frames across Access Point (AP) virtual local area networks (VLANs). Due to improper station lookup logic, the kernel matches recipient devices across the entire wireless network rather than restricting the search to the originating interface. Consequently, unintended devices on a separate VLAN can receive sensitive unicast network traffic, bypassing network segmentation.
